You have the right to request deletion of your personal data associated with MindMirror AI at any time.
This page explains what data we hold, how to request deletion, and what happens after we receive your request.
Quick deletion — no email needed
Most of your data is stored directly on your device. You can delete it immediately from within the app: open Settings → Clear All Reflections or Settings → Delete All Data & Reset. This erases everything stored locally with no waiting period.
What data does MindMirror AI hold?
On-device data (your device only)
- Your reflections, journal entries, and perspective threads
- App settings and preferences (theme, language, font, notifications)
- Your display name and optional location (used only for AI context)
- Streak and usage counts
This data is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage. We never see or transmit it, except as part of the text you explicitly send for AI analysis (which is processed transiently and not retained).
Server-side data
- AI processing inputs — text you submit for analysis is sent to OpenAI's API in real time and is not retained on our servers after the response is generated.
- Anonymous analytics — aggregated, non-identifying usage events (e.g. feature usage counts, crash reports). These contain no reflection content, no name, and no device identifiers that could identify you personally.
- Subscription records — if you have an active or past subscription, RevenueCat holds purchase receipt data on our behalf to manage entitlements. Deletion requests for subscription records are handled in accordance with RevenueCat's data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.
How to request data deletion

Delete on-device data immediately
Open MindMirror AI → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete All Data & Reset. This is instant and irreversible.

Request server-side deletion
Send an email to
admin@mind-mirrorai.com with the subject line
Data Deletion Request. Please include:
- The email address or device identifier associated with your account (if applicable)
- A brief description of the data you would like deleted

Receive confirmation
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will send a confirmation email once your data has been removed.
What happens after deletion?
- On-device data — deleted immediately and irreversibly when you use the in-app reset option.
- Analytics data — anonymous analytics events cannot be linked back to you, but upon request we will remove any records associated with an identifiable device or user ID within 30 days.
- Subscription records — RevenueCat retains transaction records as required by financial regulations for a minimum of 7 years. We will submit a deletion request to RevenueCat on your behalf for any non-financial records.
- AI processing inputs — these are not retained by our servers; no further action is required.
Retention limitations
We are required by law to retain certain records (e.g. financial transaction records related to subscriptions) for a minimum period. These records will be retained only for as long as legally required and then permanently deleted. They are stored securely and are not used for any other purpose.
